Questions + RMF

My son is obsessed with the remote control. I mean…obsessed. This is not a joke. Repeat, NOT A JOKE.

So anyway, I gave up and gave it to him this morning. And look what he found:

I have some questions; I imagine you do do. Here are the first two that spring to mind:

1.) This video was made in 2011. Why does it look as if it were made in the ’90’s?
2.) Um, what are those boots all about?

I’m pretty confused. Maybe a little upset. Do you have questions? Answers? Any insight would be helpful.

It’s RMF. What are your current musical obsessions?

  1. Mikey went through that for a while. Now he’s on to cords. This freaking kid loves him some cords.

Yeah, I’ve seen some of those pointy boots guys around the neighborhood. Interesting.

  2. 1.) This video was made in 2011. Why does it look as if it were made in the ’90′s?

It’s probably because media trends take a while to filter down from the large production centers like NYC and LA. The guys in Monterrey, Mexico probably didn’t have a big budget and cutting-edge equipment.

2.) Um, what are those boots all about?

The boots are to honor the proud tradition of the vaquero, and the central role that the vaqueros played in the culture of the Southwestern portion of North America. I believe the short, short dresses were also modeled on the traditional workwear of the vaquero. By wearing skirts that didn’t cover the legs, the traditional vaquero was able to mount and dismount a horse more easily.

Oh, I had a hit for “bob’s burgers hentai” this week… thought you’d want to be forewarned.
